Sorry guys i keep posting the same thing im getting use to this site and i keep messing up. But i have a pregnant chinchilla and i was just wondering the most amount of kits yours has had

It ranges. 1-2 is common, 3 isn't uncommon, quads happen but not "frequently", and over that amount is pretty rare. I understand you have a pregnant chinchilla, but this poll has nothing to do with that nor will it help you in any way.
How did you acquire this pregnant female?

Laura - He had a female and wanted another one. The pet store assured him it was a female they sold him, but it was a little boy. Surprise!

The most I have had is 4 per litter. However most of my litters are 1-2. I bought a female from a very well know breeder who came from a littter of six (6 standard female kits) . They did not have to be supplemented either. I think I would 'pass out' if one of my chins had that many kits in one litter

I had one female that consistenly had 6 to 7 in her litters. She would occasionally loose one baby but most of the time all survived. I also supplemented her big time as well as rotated the babies out for the first week or so to ensure that they could get enough milk. I rarely supplement babies as it seems if they are going to die it's going to be that first 7 days.
