What kind of fruit or vegetable are okay for hedgehogs to eat? I'm pretty sure bananas and apples are fine, but I remember hearing something was bad, are blueberries alright?

Blueberries should be alright but the smaller the better so they don't choke. Grapes and raisins are probably what your thinking about because they are toxic and should NEVER be fed to hedehogs or most other animals. Try to keep the size of the food small so the hedgie won't try to eat it in one bite and choke. A general rule is that if it is considered human junk-food, it is considered hedgehog junk food as well. Someone else will probably come along and clearify a bit.

If you're going to offer blueberries, be prepared for a slightly purple-tinged hedgehog. I gave my hedgehog, Hemi, a taste of a blueberry once and I could never get the blue stain out from beneath her nose.

For fruits like that, remove the skin or squeeze the innards out. I heard that the skin can get caught in the roof of their mouth, and may cause a hedgehog to claw at their face and injure themselves when trying to dislodge it.

Most vegetables are good as long as they are cooked... I give mine sweet potatoes and green beans.

As for fruits... citrus is a no-no. Soft, sweet fruits are okay... just make sure they aren't too acidic. I hear watermelon and other melons are popular.
