hey im just wondering am i an ebony? or a black velvet? my mom is a medium ebony and my dad is a TOV white.

I see a white belly, but it's not a nice white belly. In either case since the mom is an ebony the baby has the ebony gene in it.

Did you breed this kit?

He is probably a TOV ebony... He clearly has the TOV gene but without a belly shot, I am not sure whether he is a TOV eb or a TOV e/c (ebony carrier).

Ya definately looks like a tov eb to me. If it was a black velvet it should have a clear white belly

To me, it looks like a black velvet e/c, with a dirty belly (it looks like it fades to white, but not bright white), but like others said, we really need a belly shot.

yes he and his sister were my first babies ever. here is a belly shot and ma and pa i'd say his belly is gray

I combined these two threads so people wouldn't be confused.

I think it could go either way. A black with a nasty belly or a TOV eb. Unless you are planning on breeding him, it doesn't matter a whole lot.

Mom does look like a standard. The baby looks like a TOV eb to me but it could just be a dirty belly as well.

really you think she's standard? the lady i got her from told me ebony... but i really dont know i never really studied it much until these babies came along... any help is really appreciated... also thank you for the TOV ebony conclusion.

The mother looks like a really light eb to me. The dirty belly shows that.

It's hard to tell, in that last picture she looks like an ebony, in the previous one of her it looks like her chest shows white, looking more like a standard. A good picture of her belly would help determine what color she is better ).
