I almost feel silly for posting this... but I actually need help!

I had a pair of males born about 2 weeks ago. Sire is a pink white, dam is a standard. I know the darker one is a beige. But when the lighter one was first born, I swore it was a pink white. After he had dried off, he looked a bit darker, so then I thought, ok he's a beige. Two weeks later, I'm still confused! He seems too light to be a beige, but too beige to be a pink white. I tried to take pictures in sunlight to see if his true color would appear better. After looking at the pictures, he totally looks like a pink white, but in person, he still appears to be a beige to me. He has beige tipping all over, but if you look at his tummy, it is all white. What do you guys think? Is he just a heavily marked pink white? Or a super light beige? Or do I just need to wait it out for a few more months?

Just a few hours after being born.

Sure looks PW. What color is the tip of the tail??

Some pink whites show the beige a lot.

What is it? It's a chin!

Do I win?????????

Oh, you wanted color. <sigh> Looks like a PW to me too.

I should have gotten a picture of his tail. I'll get one tomorrow when the sun is out again. It's actually very dark, darker than the rest of him. The thing that throws me off is the distinct difference between his back and his tummy. His tummy is basically pure white, with no beige tipping at all. And the beige veiling on the rest of him is just so perfectly even. I know, I know... I feel like I should have already known the answer to this lol. But he is just turning out a bit strange, I just had to make sure!

Btw Becky, the dam is actually a standard female bred by you! She has definitely became one of my favorite breeders! She is such an awesome mom and throws some of the whitest tummies here!

Can I have him if I guess right?

I am thinking tan/white... but I am not exactly an expert...

I have a gorgeous pw bred by a very reputable breeder (Becky) and she is absolutely white except for about two inches at the base of her tail where she is a tan/grey sort of color. But I have seen pictures of pw's that have quite a bit of beige.

She does look like a PW, I have been getting PWs with more beige in them lately as well, and also more dramatic coloring like beige spots. I love it! I would say PW, and almost looks **** beige, but can't be! Plus she does not have the bright red eyes. She could be a tan white if one of them were an ebony carrier...my Melanie looks kind of like that, but if she has a white tummy, PW.

If she was a p/w, and not a tan white, technically she should have a pure white belly, right? My Bostin has a pure white belly, but he has beige tipping all over him (he almost looks dirty!) and a huge beige splotch on his side.

Yes, a pink white should have a white belly like a standard, a tan white can have tan or beige on the belly, but doesn't always.

Very cute! Pinkwhite for me too, they can be evenly tipped just like a silver. Included a picture of one I had born here named Nibbles. Would have sworn he was beige except for that spot on his back. Kept him to to see what he would throw, ended up getting whites and velvets. :))

Edited to say that he's the chin in my avatar, he was six months old there. Think the spot showed up around eight months.
