I just had the crap scared out of me! Gizmo was sitting on his wheel when all of a sudden he stood up on all 3's (ampuated leg), arched his back, looked really strange, and all of a sudden his penis just shot right out of his body. He put it in his mouth and groomed it...and there it went right back in. I thought something serious had happened to him! Is that just their way of getting it out ?? I've seen him groom it before but I've never seen anything like that before. I thought oh great, off to the emergency vet for a prolapse or something! But he seems perfectly fine and normal now.
I just gave him a check....he didnt like that very much. The tip is a bit purplish red in color, is that normal? Also on the outside it looks like dirt on him, but that must just be skin pigment, is that possible to be a different color than all pink? Its just a few speckles of brownish color...I think im just being paranoid but it scared me. Has anyone seen anything like this before?
