Sooo.. when I first let my chinchins meet eachother about 1 week ago, one of them bit the other's ear slightly
it's not inside it's just on the side of it. I didn't touch it because it was nothing major and I figured it would just heal itself and he will know what to do with it but I guess that was a little silly because now there is what I think is a little ball of puss there. Would polysporin or other antibiotic cream be harmful to him? does anybody know?

Is it squishy or does it sort of look like a little knot on the ear? Chinchilla ears scar very easily. A lot of times little raised bumps and knots end up just being nothing but little scars.

Of course, if he bit him just right, he could have an abscess or maybe even a small hematoma where the blood pooled up. Neosporin or polysporin could be used, but if it's just a little raised scar it wouldn't be necessary.

it's hard, yes, well not solid hard but as hard as it can get. There is no blood pooled there, it's white. I've been trying to take a pic of it since the day I posted this add, but it's a little hard by myself since he doesn't really let me touch hit and I have a big slr camera and it's difficult to hold them both. I don't know.. it has a little scratch on it so I guess he scratched it. He seems okay maybe it is just a scar? Just a little too white I thought, and it's 3D on both sides of the ear.
