Is it normal for chin's weight to fluctuate by a few grams week to week or should I be concerned about any weight loss?

Gus lost 6g since last week and I have no reason to believe that he is sick, I'm just wondering if this is normal?

Small fluctuations like that are completely normal. As long as he's healthy and it's not a continuous downward trend over several weeks, there's nothing to worry about :))

A chin can lose 6g in one day. It's just like how a human's weight can differ 5+ lbs from day to day. It can be different between morning and night. Depends on food and water intake and exercise. I wouldn't worry about 6g at all unless you notice other symptoms that show that there is a reason for weight loss.

How much fluctuation is a concern?

How much weight fluctuation is a concern? I found a scab on my girls side last week and have been watching it carefully and weighing her daily. She's been pretty steady and the scab is looking much smaller but since yesterday she lost almost 20g. She's been about 755g since this started.

I've been trying to help her regain weight for the last year since she was very sick and was hand fed for a couple weeks. I'm not sure if 20g is something to be concerned about as her activity is still good and her poo looks very good.

What could the scab be from? That's what I would be asking myself. 20g in one day does sound like more than a fluxuation. Good activity and poos are always a good sign though. I would keep weighing her regularly and see if she continues to drop weight. If she does this could be something up and I would think on vet visit to rule something out.

That is the million dollar question. I have looked all over their cage and I cannot find anything sharp or any blood or fur in the amount that is missing around it. I posted last week to see if anyone had any suggestions. The only thing I can think of is that they might have dropped a stick into the hammock after chewing it and made it sharp and if she fell into the hammock and landed on it or that either she or her cagemate over groomed? I know that anything is possible but she and her mate get along very well so I can't really see it being anything intentional. I wish I knew what caused it so I could prevent it from happening again but I have not been successful so far.
