Weaning?

My chin had a kit 3 weeks ago, and I was wondering a bit about the weaning. I was told kits should begin to wean between 6-8 weeks. Its a female so I plan on keeping it with mom. Is there things I should do? Or will mom take care of everything.

Mom will take care of it if you leave them together. When people say they "wean" at 6-8 weeks, they mean separate kits from mom. If you plan on leaving them together, though, then you don't have to "wean" and mom will do that for you.

You can leave her in with Mom if you plan on keeping her. Mom will dry up as little one eats more food and nurses less
