I'm a bit broke right now after vet bills, but I want to do something nice for my vet. They tried very hard to save Phillip, and have made life much easier for my sick dog. If it wasn't for them I would have lost her two months ago.

I have made them food on the past, which they seemed to really like. I'm wondering if I should do this again?

I have an appointment Friday to get my dog updated on her shots, so I will see them then.

Speaking from the heart of a healthcare person, absolutely nothing meant more to me than the true simple heartfelt thank you for all you have done.It really is sad to think how easy it is to complain about something verses how rare and precious it is to be thanked for doing something right! Especially in these hard economic times,IMHO,the simple effort of saying thank you means as much as any gift.

Another idea would be a small pot of flowers. I like to get the small cards that go with floral arrangements (they are typically free) and stick it in the flowers, possibly tie a ribbon around the pot.

I always send my vet a card, and picture of the chins. He posts pictures of his clients around the office, so he likes the pictures.

My vet has a board for cards and pictures too. If you have a little money to spend you might consider taking them some doughnuts or muffins for breakfast or an assortment of coffee if they have a coffee maker. Help them get their morning off to a good start.
