We got our little one at 6 months and I love watching her grow up :) Over the last two months she's

- Changed color a little bit. Got some new markings around her neck and her little behind.

- Started looking more like a chinchilla and less generally rodent-ish.

- Started being more adventurous. She's more inclined to explore us and our faces (especially the faces.)

- It's getting easier to pick her up and hold her.

- We're learning that she plays really hard and we have to keep an eye on her!

- We're learning to see the signs of when to bother her and when not to.

- She's taking scritches!

- She's learned where the treat bags/boxes are. So when I go to get her hay out she runs down and stares at me.

- She's started the odd sleeping positions that are really scary. And funny ones, like pressing herself into a corner of her cage standing up. Very odd.

- She hears the sound of the lid coming of her stick jar and runs down to get one.

- She'll readily jump into my lap to get sticks (potentially dangerous! She's a quick one!)

- She knows what her dust looks like, more running.

- She's more used to our routine but she hates me for getting home from work at 5:30-6:00. She starts getting very active around 8:00.

- She's re-arranging her cage and peeing in her dish. The cuddle buddy most definitely does not belong in her big house. And wood most definitely does not belong on the top shelf.

- We're learning her personality is less cuddly and more precocious. She wants to know what everything is and test it out! She also wants what she wants when she wants it and no other time!

- She's learned fleece does not taste good and leaves it alone.

- She thinks her carrier is a good thing. It means play time!

What changes have you seen in your babies as they grow up?

* Oh and as far as the dust bowl goes, this week she didn't even want to wait for me to set it down. She just hopped right in when I was holding it :)

It's mainly been Jasper. We got him at 5 and a half months, he's 7 and a half now. He's gotten grayer on the butt. Still has his baby face but he's filled out more. He's somewhat of a cuddly little guy. Loves to perch on my shoulder, nuzzles my hand when I put it near his face and keeps his paw on it after, as if saying no please stay! Knows the sound of the treat bags, stick drawer opening and playpen being set up! He's learned in the past week how to get out of the cage on his own, learned that from his mischievous big brother... Oh and he pulls your hand into the cage by your sweatshirt sleeve and loves to chew my diamond ring! He's my sweet baby :)

Aww! They learn the sounds of things they like so quickly! :)

He sounds so lovely and cuddly.

Vincenza does the ring thing too. She loves to chew all my damned rings. Shiny shiny shiny!

She also loves to groom my fingernails.

And here i thought Ozzy was just weird for trying to eat my diamond rings haha. He also LOVES to groom his daddy's nails. Mine not so much as i keep mine so short he can only really groom the skin lol. We've had my little boy almost 2 months now and hes been a delight. Every morning i sit down at the computer (which is right next to his cage) and he will go to the top shelf and sit there talking to me. He knows what his bath bowl looks like and totally freaks out while I'm getting it ready for him. He has gotten a little bit lighter in color and his face is getting longer. He's getting use to being handled more and more every day. And when i have something in my hands he HAS to know what it is and if its for him lol. I'm amazed every day at how much hes growing up and changing, even in the short amount of time we've had him.

I got Theo when he was a year and half from a lady who abused him, and he was very untrusting. Today, I have had him for 8 months and he is the sweetest gentlest little man! He has gained a decent amount of weight and he has gotten a lighter coat. Everything, like treat bags he recognizes. When you come to see him, his ears perk and he likes to nuzzle your face with his. Changes have been amazing and I am loving every minute.

Awww. Its so much fun watching them grow and learning all about them.

I've got an 8 month old white boy and he's very sweet. He was never tiny, even when he came home at 11 1/2 weeks old, but he's starting to loose his baby face now, you can see it more when he's in a ball sleeping. He's more like a ball in shape now and of course his colour has changed. He's gotten whiter and the colour difference sharper.

We've learned he's very gobby and vocal when you try to pick him up but he's very easy to handle as he was handled from birth. He would sell his soul for a shredded wheat and loves scritches. He's a big loony that loves to throw himself about. He got a flying saucer last week and its hilarious to watch him trying to figure it out. I think he will soon. I've seen him take a few steps on it.

I do love watching them grow, its a special time.
