Waking up my hedgie

Is it ok to wake up my hedgehog when i get home from work at 5pm to play with him. I don't force him i pick him up and he just starts snuggling me i just don't no when i can wake him up or when not too. I wake him up before i go to sleep and play with him he will stay up for a bit after. Oh he is still young not even quilling yet. I need some basic rules for keeping my hedgie happy any tips will help a lot Mr.Prickels thanks you

You can wake him up, but do not expect him to be happy about it or for him to stay awake for very long. I wake mine up at 8pm every night. Usually they will stay awake for a while and then they want to snuggle and nap on me. After napping for a bit they then will wake up on their own and want to play.

Try to be consistent with the time you wake him up. They quickly get on a schedule and will know that its play time. Also remember that if he is a baby, he is going to want to nap a lot more anyway.
