We didn't see it because it was behind the toilet but Vincent found the one broken tile in the whole bathroom. Obviously his solution was to eat it. Should we be worried? He has his first vet appointment tomorrow afternoon and seems perfectly normal, bouncing, eating, drinking, bothering Christopher.

How do you chin proof things like that? It's obvious we need to start looking from their perspective! Would you put some cardboard over it? Or some chin proof wood?

I also think he got a bit of my hair in his mouth, which he managed to pull out. He was perching on my head because that's a fun thing to do :).

What would be your advice for when the little monkeys get in to something they shouldn't?

the only safe solution is to ensure their play area has nothing in it that they could get into or get hurt on. that's why the bathroom is such a good place for them to play.

was the tile a vinyl one? how much of it did he eat? if he nibbled just a tiny bit of it i would keep an eye on his pooping, ensure it does not decrease in size or amount.

i would think a chin wouldn't actually eat ceramic tile, but just chew it and leave the pieces, if he actually chewed it at all - ceramic tile is hard and really not that tasty, lol.

you could put a board (kiln dried pine) over the broken tile, if it isn't repairable. i wouldn't leave the board in the bathroom though, because the moisture/humidity from showers and such could cause mold issues. cover the tile during playtime and take it out of the bathroom when you're done.

He definitely had it in his little mouth

But there were pieces left behind and he left it alone after a while! My mistake was sweeping the pieces up with a piece of toilet paper and then dropping it. They can see that from about a mile off! :)

My chins have eaten much worse and theyre fine. just keep a close eye...My critters also like to pick at my hair and eyebrows so im sure theyve gotten some hair and they are alright... as long as he isnt eating a huge chunk..which would be really odd haha
