My chinchilla Chilly, she's almost 2 yrs old. Eats Oxbox pellets.
The last few days I have seen odd behaviours, symptoms are:
-On Monday night Chilly had her playtime which consisted of treats: shredded wheat -non-sugar and an Oxbox dry veggie treat.
-About half & hour later she was sitting in a corner and started grinding her teeth, even her body shook when she grinded.
-Since monday night I have noticed that only when actually fed the treats that she will eat, she doesn't voluntarily go to her pellet bowl - so a major reduction in pellet eating over the last 2 days.
- she has been sleeping way more than she usually does
- her droppings are getting much much smaller - but still same hardness
- Chilly doesn't seem to hop around her cage much/less active now, but on a good side she does run on her wheel, however that has decrease a little as well.
Does anyone know what might be the issue here? Or what might be some causes of her not wanting to be active/eating. She just seems to be lying away in her corner.
