so yesterday i did not feel well with major stomache pain, so i ended up sleeping on the couch which is in the room with the chins.
honestly, i thought there was a war going on in the one cage. Richie & Stitch are total maniacs, running up & down their cage, which is almost 6 feet tall and has many levels. things were dropping, cages shaking, strange noises, there was jumping and running and general mayhem. and poor Zucca in the other cage just 5 feet away wanted in on the action, so he started storming his cage. i just can not believe how much noise the 3 of them can make!

Haha. Welcome to my bedroom at night...and I sleep in there!

Oh, I am all too familiar with that.

I have started to mute them out and it doesn't bother me much anymore, but some nights I have to sleep with the pillow over my head.

that's why my chins are downstairs and the bed rooms are upstairs when you add the noise of the wheels with all the running and banging the sides of the cages who could sleep.

My girls all ricochet around their cages too :)
Before I had my hearing restored I couldn't understand why Grant would get annoyed if they were having a particularly active night.....I get it now though!!

My chins are in their own room down the hall and they still wake me up at night! Some nights they're such maniacs that I have to shut their door and can still hear them! My one cage is super loud. It's a QC, and the wheel shakes the whole darn side the way the run on it. It's kind of funny, but in a way it's really not.

Wow. Either my chins are REALLY quiet at night, or I am a REALLY heavy sleeper. Mine don't bother me at all. Though I am used to the dehumidifier kicking on at all hours, and the thing is old as dirt and really loud. That probably conditioned me lol.

Burrito is actually reeealy quiet at night. Sometimes I wake up and look at her cage and she is just looking at me. :) But some nights, all you can hear in the whole house is the dinging of the bell on her grapevine toy! I'm sure that when I have her living with Cheddar, it wont be so quiet anymore!

Ferdinand goes to either extreme, most nights he is pretty quiet, other nights my roommates and I try and figure out how in the world such a tiny critter can make so much noise! The only time I don't block it out is if I'm having trouble sleeping in the first place though, otherwise I just tune it out. It could help that we have doves that decide to crow in the middle of the night as well as a fire station across the street

When we first moved into our new house, we weren't used to being on a separate floor from our zoo (animals are on the first floor, we are on the second). While we were drifting off to sleep, I started to hear this distinct thumping noise. I freaked out, as did the husband, and we went searching for an intruder (seriously, he was armed with a shotgun). We got downstairs, and we heard a sound we recognized: Trousers running on her wheel!! We felt so stupid, but we didn't recognize the noise from one floor up through the floor (their room is right below us).

I never in my life would have thought such cute little rodents could make such hellacious noises!!!

Sometimes when I can't sleep at night because my hubby is a bed hog, I go downstairs to sleep on the couch. Well, Shadow won't move or make a noise until I am dead asleep... Then he starts barking until I wake up. UGH!:hair:

I'm glad I'm not the only crazy one with my Chin in my bedroom.
Harley is SO LOUD from midnight to 4am. I'm almost used to it but my boyfriend refuses to spend the night anymore :(

Hahahah, when I had my ankle surgery I had to sleep in the Livingroom where my chins are, WOW is all I can say, between the drinking and the munching and the wood chewing(grated on my nerves BAD), cage surfing and the coup de gras the wonderful "silent' wheel, yeah Right it was silent untill they got the whole cage rocking with the chinny 500 going. All I can say is thank the man upstairs for giving my some really good pain medication cause I wouldnt of slept at all otherwise.

Mine have there own room at the other end of the house. But at times it seems like there in the bed with me. lol
