He is doing great, I can give him cherios now, he even let's me pick him up, he barks a lil, but he's not scared, within seconds he goes limp and begs for chin scratches!

Sounds good... small steps! My "mean chin" Buster has gotten a lot more trusting of me lately too and doesn't lunge at me when I come near his cage and I can pet him and when he's out he sits on my feet and doesn't circle the room, lunge and bite my arms/fingers anymore.

When it's time to put him back in his cage for the night I still use two leather gloves to scoop him up but now when I hold him, I take the left glove off and pet him with my bare hand. I'm not ready to take the right glove off yet b/c he's still nippy. He can nip all he wants b/c there's no way he's going to bite through that glove. Once he's in, I take off both gloves and give him his supplement by hand as he's probably my most gentle of chins and I can pet him and massage his feet, head and belly and he loves it.

It's all so strange b/c apparently he was a total "sweetie" before he came to live with me and then he suddenly turned into this monster whereas his buddy Roo was supposed to be "nippy" but since I've had him he's been nothing but an angel. Weird.
