I bite.
The surgery went very well. They believe they hit all of the tumor, and he goes back in 2 months for an MRI to see if the surgery had any effect. From what I've read, it has about an 80% success rate, so hopefully we see that
The only side effects was the bleeding from where they screwed the frame into his head. He has to wear bandages for them. I changed them this morning and they looked really good, though. In fact, he wanted to go to the golf club to play cards, so that's what he's doing now. That's the great thing about gamma knife- no post-surgical side effects that you would have with an open skull surgery, and no incisions (other than the tiny spots where the frame screwed in.)
He is in really good spirits. His main goal was to see his 5th grandchild be born in August, and now he has the confidence that he'll get to reach that goal.
