Bostin's fur is starting to grow back in on his butt and all of his scabs have fallen off. His butt looks like a little baby bird when it's starting to get it's feathers. I try not to say much about it, because Bostin is very sensitive about it. :p

I've decided to see if I can pair him up with Roo and Koda, my two most chilled chins when it comes to intros and aggressiveness. Bostin has had separate playtimes with each of them, and there has been no aggression, chasing, fur slipping, etc. It's like they've known each other forever.

In a few days I'm going to start putting them all together and see how they do. If all goes well hopefully Bostin will be moving back into a FN. :)

I've been especially cautious with this, because (shh) Roo is my favorite and if anything were to happen to him, I would be crushed.

good luck! shhhh........i have a favorite too and it is THE reason I havent put them together. cause if anything happened, i would not be able to forgive the other!!

Glad he's on the mend. But... where are the pictures of the wonderful Playchins you're teasing us with? ;) Your guys are just too darn cute not to show us.

:D I went all the way down there just to take pictures today, but as soon as I turned my camera on, the batteries died. Which is really odd, because I JUST bought those batteries and haven't turned my camera on since I put them in!

I have to say, Stacie, with all the fighting you have had in recent months, I am surprised you would even risk it again. Is it not better to just leave well enough alone and have your boys be as is now?

Stacie, I wouldn't risk putting anybody else in with Roo and Koda.

A few years ago when I had Mr. Whiskers and Baby neutered and then was able to get them back together, I fell in love with The Snuggler at the February Colorado show. I wanted him SOOO much, but I knew that I should ask Dr. Fitzgerald what he thought before I brought home a third chinchilla.

His advice was to "Leave well enough alone and celebrate the fact that you were able to get Whiskers and Baby back together after their ordeal. I would not recommend adding a third chinchilla to the mix."

I took his advice, as much as I wanted not to. And later, as it turned out, when Baby died suddenly and unexpectedly, The Snuggler was still available, and so I was able to get him. Fortunately, they are still together, too, but I did have to have The Snuggler neutered as well, since he started picking on Whiskers.

He also advised me not to try to introduce Little Two Paws Shakur to Whiskers and The Snuggler for obvious reasons, as well as because of the fact that they BOTH might bully LTPS because of his disability.

With the experiences you have had, I think you really WOULD feel horrible if anything happened to Roo -- or either of the other two. Please think long and hard about it.
