I totally understand the whole lose weight but eat more comment. Or, even better the "you're so skinny, but you should never gain weight." "You look great, but you need to eat something." It's different every time. I am a very fat anorexic person apparently. Oh, my favorite - "You have really big arms for someone as skinny as you are." <---- what does that even mean? How on earth do I lose weight from just my arms? Thanks mom, love the mixed messages every three seconds.

No, oh no, never again will I live with her. Not until she is old and senile and she needs to be here. I figure I have 20 years before we come close to that happening. :)

I was going though a rough patch trying to address some childhood issues of abandonment and neglect from my mom, my mom knew I was sad and hurting but didn't know why, as you know it's painful to re-hash old issues, even when it's theraputic to do so. So she invites me to dinner at the Red Lobster, when she gets the check she procedes to say "I could have afforded the Lobster if you hadn't come.

I am so sorry.

My mom seems to comment about when I need to loose weight but not when I actually do loose weight. Hate to say it but if my mom has to live somewhere, I would pay for assisted living before I let her move in. (There is more behind that than the weight comments.)

I definately feel the pain of having to live at home. I was living with a boyfriend (now husband) at one point in time and we split up. Which forced me back home. The whole reason I moved out was because I had the same curfew as my 16 year old sister. 10 during the week and 12 on the weekend. I was 20 at the time and in college. My way around it was staying out A LOT. The rule then changed to I was only allowed out 2 nights a week. One weekday and one weekend. So I moved in with my boyfriend who I had been with for a month and known for 3.

I've offered mine a corrugated cardboard box (double even!) under a nice bridge in Seattle. :D

I never had a curfew - never had anything that kept me out late. Come to think of it; getting up at 5am to feed cattle kind of works as a natural curfew I guess... sneaky.

Haha! I don't get it either. I have big arms and shoulders from my years swimming. I do have some "guns". My mom uses that to her advantage because I am "freakishly strong." "Brittney, can you help me move this?" But when it comes to grabbing something heavy from a shelf, she will call me in and when I get there she says "Oh, nevermind, I forgot, you're short" I'd rather have fat arms than muscular arms. That way maybe I could get them smaller. Same goes for legs. I'm cursed and have a family of "bootys" Joined swim/dive team in middle school-high school, and it just made everything bigger :banghead: Oh well. I would like to be a few inches taller though, maybe even everything out.

I guess I don't understand why the internet has to be shut off at all. Unless your keyboard is VERY, VERY loud and it keeps them awake.

Me either... I guess it's so I'll get more sleep, but I think it's funny that I only have a bedtime when I'm home since I can go and leave when ever I please. Oh well. My dad's pretty stubborn, so i'm glad he changed it to 1 am. Its much better than 11 pm.

I'm like you but I have very narrow hips and no booty at all - giant broad shoulders and long arms. I think you look great, very in proportion, very athletic. Not like me! I'm like a freaky genetic experiment... :) Size 2 long jeans... size 10 top...very weird. :)

There's nothing wrong with muscular arms. I have muscular arms because I am constantly moving heavy things. My problem is that I can pick things up but then I get very top heavy and fall over. There's no counter weight on the bottom. :(

I feel your pain! My boyfriend and I are currently living for my parents for a couple of months until we move. I'm just working part time right now and most of my money goes to my bills and the animals, lol. I got my hours cut to half of what they were when I was living on my own(Grrr). He just got a government job but we have to wait two to three months for the paperwork to go through to get his start date. We don't have a curfew or anything like that but we are constantly fighting my dad for how to treat/train our dogs. We do NOT give them table scraps and they are not allowed in the kitchen or allowed to beg, etc. My dad thinks that dogs should be allowed to eat whatever we eat and that we're being "mean" by not allowing our dogs into the kitchen where he feeds them scraps. My little five pound yorkie vomits everytime he gives her human food. It also give his dogs diarrhea but he doesn't care to listen to us. Plus he's an old traditional Chinese man and keeps trying to "teach" me how to be a good woman (cook, clean, etc.)...which I already do, lol. He has an insane need to vacuum twice a week and gets mad because I don't vacuum enough even though I do it once a week. Sigh and double sigh.

Hopefully you'll get a car and get back out on your own soon. The stress of living with your parents after you've already been independent for a while is tough but sometimes it just has to happen.

Right now I'm living with my MIL and my hubby and his brother and sister. So far its been ok, except the occasional comments my MIL makes to my husband about me not helping cook. That was once! And i was talking to my MOM who lives in a different country! (USA lol) that's the only problem I have with his mom. She thinks that when she's cooking everyone else has to cook with her. what if i dont want to cook?? But now im working a bit she's laying off so its good for now....

At least she let me keep my chins!
