Sadly, we have just lost Betty, a rescue chin that we had believed was suffering from bloat.
She had been receiving meds from our vet to help alleviate the bloat symptoms but was not improving and despite being syringe fed and getting lots of fluids, she hadn't passed any poos for a while.
X-rays were taken at the beginning of the week to rule out blockages etc and all that could be seem was the build up of gas.
As Betty wasn't improving, the decision was made for Martin to operate for further investigation.
Two large 'balloons' were found in her large intestine - have attached a drawing but ignore the heavy line in the top balloon - this was done when Martin and Anja discussed the possibility of removing the balloons and the complications it would cause.
We have been unable to find any information on the Internet and wondered if anyone had come across this problem before?
