AZChins
Pro Cage Cleaner Champion
Here are some excruciatingly bad pictures.
The beige female is Pinky. She had three babies yesterday, two pink whites and a beige. The standard female is Vittia, she had two babies a month ago...and also prolapsed her uterus two weeks ago. She went to the vet and had it "replaced" and was sutured with a purse string suture around her vaginal opening. So far so good...the vet thinks it was the result of a pinched nerve from the birth. It was weird that it happened nearly three weeks after she gave birth. Everything is fine...she closed up and it'll be two weeks tomorrow without any problems.
Anyway. In the pictures.... Pinky is smooshed against the cage with her baby even more smooshed. I swear they are alright. Vittia is nursing babies that ARE NOT hers...but it's okay because Pinky has been nursing her babies since they were born. Both will nurse anything that needs milk.
The new babies are really something that the older ones like. They think they are just wonderful...the two older girls have been popcorning around non-stop since the babies realized that they can jump out of the nest house. They learned this at just over two hours of age.
So, I have a cage full of craziness. When I have more time I will get better pictures that aren't so dark. the chins always look awful in these pictures....and even worse when they are slightly messed up from having wet baby chinchillas mess up their fur...guess I should put in the dust bath today.
