Okay so my Chin Pepe Silvia wont eat treats. hes about 3 months old and his breeder says he "looooooves" raisins but i give him one and he barks and throws it! hah

So then i try these yogurt covered papayas and he throws them yet again.
Then i try just plain papayas and still no luck.

Whats going on? does he just not like treats or what? i wanna train him and reward him but he hates everything.

any tips?

You have a smart chin. The treats you are offering him are not only inappropriate for an adult chin, they are deadly for a baby. NO chin should have treats before they are 6 months old, and what you are offering is just a crappy treat.

Give him plenty of wood to chew (chin safe) until he's older, then you can offer a few other things like a pinch of old fashioned oats, a rosehip or 2 a week, some organic rosebuds or petals, and some folks offfer supplements made by members here like Tanya of Fuzzie's Kingdom or Essentia.

No cheerios until after he's 6 months! No treats of any kind until he's 6 months and then only give healthy treats sparingly and not every day.

ETA: Seriously, does this so-called breeder give raisins to a baby chin? That's just nuts! :hair:

All what was said above is right...try to avoid sugary treats for your chin. Your baby actually rejecting those things was the best outcome possible.

Treat rejection is not uncommon in chins. They are picky little things. Mine don't like oats, both of them will refuse them. The female completely ignores me if I offer her cheerios. The boy loves them. Both of them go crazy for rosehips and the flower salad that Essentia makes (she sells it on her website, so when your chin gets a bit older, I really recommend it!).
