I was wondering if anyone orders tradition by the ton. There are some Hubbard mills around and after seeing the price go up and up and up on my feed, which never seems to have all of the ingredients in it anyway, I'm wondering if it's time to start looking for something else.

I range around 560ish a ton for tradition.

I don't expect we would pay much more, we're in the middle of hay country... My last batch was $720... $50 of it was bagging and delivery, but still, that made it $670? And it's not like they need to ship hay across country. I can get a bag of plain alfalfa pellets here for $6.

Have you been happy with it? What's funny is I did a little looking and one of my best friends is HR for the local COOP group ( like 30+ towns/elevators) who handle's hubbard products... I didn't know they did this whole time, lol.

I just paid $630 for a ton, delivered and unloaded for me. It went up from last time, as all feeds have.

Still $100 cheaper, and that's unloaded, they just put it on the drive, or if I'm home in the back of the truck and I have to unload it again.

Not all of the mills make the chin feed, so it may depend on how far it has to come.

With my cost we need to go pick up the feed... It is not delivered or unloaded :) Might be why we are slightly cheaper here.

Only $50 of it delivery, if I have to drive to get it it's about 2 hrs each way... where I'm trying to see if I can get the tradition it's 20 miles...

I became a Hubbard dealer to get a better price on my chin feed and get it delivered to me, but I have to buy 6 tons of feed at a time. It can be any feed for any animal be it one or two bags of this, a half a ton of that, it does not matter so long as the whole order totals 6 ton.

tradition

I'm trying to get tradition in Colorado. If anyone has a contact @ Hubbard, please let me know.
thanks!bob
