I know a lot of people make their own toys. What do you normally use to string pieces of wood together?

I have a metal chain, but it's too thick. I was thinking really thick wire might be a good idea.

You can use thick wire, if you prefer. You can also use natural seagrass rope to make simple toss toys etc. I rarely use chain for my chin toys.

i use a thin stainless steel wire that i got at home depot. tons of it in a little round package for just a few bucks, and if i can't find my pliers, it's thin enough to bend and work with by hand.
