Yikes! Stay safe Dawn! Unfortunately they are predicting some pretty bad storms for us here this year, too...we've already had a couple tornado warnings and it isn't even storm season yet!

Don't be scared but be aware and stay sharp. We had a tornado hit last year and do some damage to a business. We've never really had anything like that before so you have a false sense of security. Better make sure you check in with us later! If you do wind up in Oz try to bring those ruby slippers back with you--I always wanted a pair of those!

I'm surprised the North Bay isn't on there. A funnel cloud ripped the roof off a building in Santa Rosa this morning!

So between that , the tsunami warning last Friday and the radiation plume that is going to reach CA today, we are doomed here! Lots of wind and rain but no tornado, the radiation plume is more of sprinkle and the tsunami was a small wave at the port here, sounds like the media is in full hype!

I agree, the media is in overdrive. But as I said a funnel cloud did touch down up here, and there was tsunami damage at several ports. I wonder if you've seen this video of Bolinas? No damage done, but more than a wave to be sure!

Um, no. I haven't thought too much about radiation here, though maybe I should! One of my best friends in town is Japanese; most of her family lives in Fukokua (southwest Japan) but her mom and middle brother are outside Tokyo. They are considering coming to the States -- they are having a hard time getting basics like rice. I have been so focused on them.

That and there are police helicopters flying above my house and cops with walkie-talkies scouring the neighborhood park. Its been an interesting day. :wacko:
