Because you are in Belguim, can I ask you what the brand of your dust is? Or do you use sand (dust is really fine, like dust!)? I live in Spain and all I can get here is thick sand which doesn't do anything at all for Macy's fur...he still enjoys it though!

I use sand aswell.
I wasn't able to find dust so far.
The bag of sand i'm using at the moment has no brand (were sold out)

What about food, which food can you get over there? In Spain everything is packed with raisins, banana chips etc.

I'm in New Zealand, and we have trouble getting good chinchilla supplies too. It's so annoying cause we all just want the best for our babies.

No problem! I'm glad to help!

I'm using food from Versele-Laga (Belgian brand I think) with herbs and fibres.
It used to have pieces of fruit too but I ditched those for Herbs and fibres.
As treats ... well the usuall rosehip, raisin, spaghetti (last one rarely)

As for the sand well I give her the sand every day 1x or 2x for about 5 min. (she doesn't use it for long)

And Newt: Only the best is good enough for our chins

Here in the states we have little paper cups called Dixie. They can be bought in a little kid size. Once in a while I grab up a stack and offer each chin a cup. Oh my gosh is that fun to watch a herd run around with a little paper cups. Anything to break up the boredom. My daughters gerbils love those toilet paper tubes. I love watching them play. Great picture you posted!!
