This is april???

Last night, it started raining, then ice pellets that turned into snow - the heavy wet kind! About 11, I heard the snow plows[?] and looked out the window - 4 INCHES!!
At 11:57 we lost power for about 1/2 hr. and it's amazing how quiet things are - eerie! Until it goes back on, and your almost asleep from boredom! Then the fun job of re-setting VCR's, clocks, appliances, etc.
Woke up to some of it melted away, and a lot of broken branches on the ground - snow stuck to them.

It was 70 yesterday, the day before we had 50mph winds and a tornado watch, and tomorrow snow is in the forecast. Arrrg.

spring has finally arrived here! We went from snow in areas last week to mid 60's yesterday and throughout the rest of the week. I got outside yesterday and spent the entire day working on my flower gardens. Got a lot more work to do so I'm hoping spring is really here to stay this time!

I'm hearing you! Those storms that came thru this weekend and then again yesterday were not even cute! And then to wake up this morning to low 30s? What's going on - I thought it was April already... apparently not. My digital thermostat is getting really tired of me flipping it back and forth from heat to cool for the heater/air conditioner to come on. I'll be happy when I can just flip it to a/c and leave it there!

Yesterday was 74 degrees and very comfortable. I even went to the tanning bed so it could feel more like summer. Well this morning right before 7am, I woke up to my house sounding like it was falling down. I had never heard such a noise in my life. There was half-dollar sized hail falling like crazy and the sky was green. I guess it was due to a cold front coming through, but I seriously got out the chinnie carriers and packed my babies up and waited for everything to pass over. Now, the sky is brighter than its been all year. No clouds to be found.

So terrible. It gives us a glimpse of spring & takes it all away within one blasted night. Im about SICK of this. haha I want green, flowers, sun, & warmth!
