My two chins lived together for years then Lucky got sick, now they don't get along. I've tried tto keep them in seperate cages then move the cages closer together. They still don't get along. I don't think they can live in the same cage right now without one of them getting hurt. Help me!!

Sadly, o one will be able to help you with this one. Sometimes this just happens. It's why we always advise if you have more than 1 chin, that you need more than 1 cage, just in case.

If one of your chins was sick, and has seen the vet, it's possible he has that funny smell. Give him time to get completely over it, then you can try and reintroduce them. There is a thread in the FAQs that explains different methods of introducing chins. You can give one or more of them a try, but it just ma be that they have to stay separated from here on out. If there has been true aggression, i.e., chasing, fur flying, biting - then I just wouldn't risk it at all.

I agree with tunes, it just happens sometimes, just like with people. You can have a falling out with a really good friend and it could take time before your friends again, or you may never speak again. Give it time and patience.

What everyone else said. It happens. I had a pair that were together over a year and suddenly they weren't getting along, so I separated.

I now have a solo and a trio..
