I know several members here are following The Voice. (See all 125 of the comments on Laurie's fb status last night!)

What do you think of the show?

Would you change anything?

Who is your favorite contestant?

When you first posted, I thought you said "The View" and I was going to recommend anyone who watches it go outside and watch hens peck the ground... It would be more productive.

I love that they were heard before they were seen. In the days of radio, what you looked like didn't really matter (just like presidential elections). But once people could see you while you performed, it seems like the whole industry shifted toward "pretty" talent, not just talent. Nikia and Beverly would likely not have gotten this far if they hadn't had the chance to sing before the stars/coaches saw them.

That said, it's hard not to smile when Raquel gets on that stage. :) She was adorable in Jersey Girl, and she's still got the spunk that (almost) saved that movie. I like Jeff as well, and would happily listen to him sing just about anything.

I like the concept behind "The Voice." Would singers like Lyle Lovett or even Bruce Springsteen make it in an American idol style format? Probably not- they both have a unique sound coupled with an appearance that is not quite mainstream enough.

Laura as you know I love this show. I am very impressed they judges voted on voice and not looks and as you can many of the contestants on The Voice are not what the industry consider marketable. I feel that's what has happened with Idol--that and the face the best judge left, is the reason I don't watch Idol anymore.

From day one my favorite was Javier but I was also a Jeff Jenkins, Bev, Dia, Xenia, Nakia and Curtis fan

My two favorite performances last night were Dia and Bev--still loving Javier though but last night Dia and Bev just blew me away.

What I love about this show is how involved the mentors get with their group. Blake Shelton makes me bawl on a regular basis as to how caring he is with his girls and how he was with his whole group.

The mentors don't rip anyone a new one--and honestly they don't need too, the singers they have really can sing and perform.

I also love with the mentors sing together as well as when the mentors sing with their group--group performances on this show are WAY better than Idol!

Im pretty much obsessed with this show. And I am head over heals for Javier! His voice in absolutely mesmerizing and soothing.

It's ONLY Javier in this household! But I would be happy too if Vicci, Nakia or Frenchie would win.

Me too Laura, can't wait for the next season either. I got teary eyed too when I saw him crying a little. We're thinking about seeing them all in concert when the top eight come to town.

Loved the show last night--loved the show! I seriously would not have cared if a single one in the group won they were all so incredibly talented. Last night I thought Dia sounded much better than Miranda Lambert but I don't listen to country so perhaps that's how Miranda sounds all the time. If she does I'm not sure why she's so popular. She also could have dressed down a bit for heaven's sake!

Not sure what was up with Stevie Nicks' hand motions--I mean I thought she was trying to hypnotize me into thinking she was young again or something.

Pay Moynahan needs a new hairstylist!

Did anyone notice Christina's save by saying all the guys were like her brother? She was a little biatchy about the mime thing with Dia the night before.

All in all this is a fantastic show I can't wait for next year. I hope it's the same judges because yes I will admit it I have developed a crush on Cee-lo

I enjoyed the show. I'm glad that Javier won. I thought it was a lot better than the last season of American Idol.

HMMM I'm just glad I'm the type of person to develop feelings for someone based on their insides and not their outsides! LOL! And seriously he has a hairy chest! You know I'm all over that!!!!

You can call me shallow all you want. Physical attraction plays a part, too!

at the beginning of the season, when a female is singing, and one of the male judges starts to turn around to see her for the first time, I swear I can hear his thoughts says "please be hot, please be hot"...

am I the only one who thinks Dia and Blake are sleeping together?...

My favorite was Dia based on her singing, but I am kind of glad she didn't win because she already has her fame with her band Meg & Dia.
