Yeah he did Melissa, lol.
She's so weird, the whole blood thing is so gory to me. And the outfits she wore! One minute she looks like those air flying things you see outside car dealerships, and the next she's an Eskimo.

Oh, and I don't like Russel Brand's sense of humor. It's a little too raw for the VMA's.. But maybe that's just me....

Nope, not just you Sasha, I don't understand why they felt the need for Russel Brand again this year, I don't find him funny at all!

Lady Gaga?!?! I was hoping she'd take a little tumble with that hideous red lace whatever covering her whole head and face when she accepted her award. Eminem actually looked pretty calm and sane that day.

...I love Russel Brand. I watched his stand-up show and I was kind of surprised, because I didn't think I would like it. He was really good in Forgetting Sarah Marshall as well. Still haven't watched him on the VMAs though.

Is it wrong to find this funny?

And then there is this:

I dunno...what else can I say that already hasn't been said?

Let's see....

I wish...I wish to all the powers that be...that Pink was winning an award when he did that....Just to see her punch his lights out, I would PAY to see that.

And I can't help but feel, its a bigot...borderline racist. He takes his biggest temper tantrums when white people win. There is a video of him backstage after an awards show when Kelly Clarkson won. And now Taylor Swift, and most importantly, his Katrina comments. But a total bigot...a bigot against anyone who isn't Kanye West or a die hard fan of Kanye West. He talks about sacrifices he made to be a celebrity...He wouldn't know a sacrifice if he bit him in the butt. I am still waiting for the day when he compares himself to Jesus.

That picture made me laugh.... a lot.

And I agree with the Pink thing, that would have been quite interesting! I wonder if he would have pulled that stunt if she had been the one up there.

I think the thing that irritates me about Russell Brand is that the target audience is mostly teens/tweens - especially with the Jonas Brothers/Twilight/Taylor Swift popularity. His jokes were just too raw for my taste. That being said, stand up shows and other comedy venues I understand.. But not a music award show.........

I don't think any other singer would have tolerated that kind of interruption. Pink, Beyonce, Lil' Kim... they all would have brained him with a high heel. I can almost hear it. "Hey, Mr. Producer? Hold my shoes. I'mma hafta smack a brother."

Did ya think she was lying?

No, I didn't think she was lying, but she could have been ill-informed, and I prefer my information to come from more reliable sources than an internet message board*. Please excuse me for not being as confident in The Internet as you apparently are.

*unless the information directly pertains to the subject of the message board and comes from a reliable source.

Oh Gosh. I forgot ALL my information comes from CnH. <rolls eyes>

Rebecca - The point was, all YOU had to do was a quick google and you would have found it just like countless others did. It's been on the front page of every news source anywhere on the internet and in the paper, including USA today.

I see nothing wrong with asking someone to provide a source for the information they give.

I think the point was to do the search yourself and then if you didnt find it(which you would have had you done a two second search) to ask for the source.

Im not saying its your fault for not knowing that it was all over the news. Like I already said myself, I didnt hear about what Kanye did until almost 2 days later. I heard Obama called Kanye what he did before finding out why. But I got online and searched it to find out what was going on.

I could have done that, but there was no need to. I asked her where she heard it, she posted a link, no problem.

And he only likes his girlfriend because he can see his reflection on her scalp.

That poor girl! She was left behind to apologize for his stupidity and total crassness. How embarrassing for her. First to have to be SEEN with him, then to have to apologize for him.

And I don't mind that you asked, though I did a double take at what I perceived as the initial tone. "Source?" is a comment I got on a lot of high school and college term papers; I didn't expect to see it barked at me from a forum post, and took it more sarcastically at first than I think (hope?) it was meant. Then I took a deep breath, remembered that there is far less context and no non-verbal cues in online communication and posted the link.

I think Tunes' reaction might have come in part from that same kind of initial "What the heck, is she giving attitude?" response as well. Is that the case, Tunes?

Oh sorry if it sounded harsh, I had no intention of sounding mean or sarcastic.
