I'm so happy now. I just got a call from an advertising agency, they want to interview me Tuesday for their graphic artist position, I'm so exited about it. I also got a phone call back to visit this apartment that seems interesting. It's only one bedroom (I would have liked 2) and not exactly in the distric I want, but it's only 450$ with a parking, locker and in front of the subway. I'm visiting it Friday. Now I just hope they are not disgusting as the previous 2. Wish me luck!

I'm just called back for a second interview from that company!!!! I'm so happy.

In the mean time, that appartment didn't work out (too small) but I found another one bigger. The only thing is, the floor lever one is freshly painted and free now, but no patio door or balcony. The 2nd floor has 2 balconies and patio door, but is so damaged. The children wrote on the walls, paint is falling down, baseboard heater are all rusted. I don't have time to move in then paint it all over with like 3 coats in order to make a good job

Painting isn't your job anyway, is it? That's the landlord's deal. HE should be the one doing the repairs on the apartment before you move in. Why don't you ask him and find out if and when he can do it and when it will be available for rent. I wouldn't worry too much about the baseboard heater being rusted, as long as it's just surface rust. If it's on the inside, affecting the heating element, then again, that's the landlord's problem and I would insist that be made right before moving in.
