I heart Leonard
I read yesterday that Farrah's funeral was very beautiful. She had 200 quests and her service was closed to the public. I don't know why this was so important to me but Lee Majors attended Farrah. They were married for 10 years during her Charlie's Angels/Pin-Up years. They hadn't spoken for nearly 23 years but when he learned she was diagnosed with cancer he contacted her friends to find out how she was doing, then on her birthday last year he called her and they had a somewhat bittersweet reunion and were able to lay to rest some of the issues from their past. This touched me a great deal. I was happy Redmond was able to attend his mother's service. both Ryan O'Neal and Farrah's doctor read bible passages and it seemed a truly revered service.
Then I hear Michael will be laid to rest publicly. They are even speculating tickets will be sold to the public. What a circus and nightmare? They refer to Michael's family as grieving, althought they have been everywhere lately. The BET awards, the red carpet. I'm sure when my sister passes I won't be going anywhere or talking to anyone for days--that is what griefstricken means. It doesn't mean talking to the media, rushing over to the house to collect belongings and snatch them up like a thief in the night.
Even Elvis, who by the way, IMO is a much larger than life entertainer than Michael Jackson could ever DREAM of being, didn't have such a circus for his funeral.
I guess the truth is when you're weird and bizaare during life your death will be equally so.
