That show gets me every year! Me and my mom will sit down and watch it when its on together and we both bawl our eyes out!

Patton Oswalt summed up my feelings on it very well, but I can't post it here due to language. Suffice to say, we don't share tastes in Christmas movies at all. I don't like the ones designed to make you feel guilty or sad; its supposed to be a happy holiday.

The Rankin-Bass claymation/stop motion movies are my favorite. If I could afford the whole set on DVD, I'd watch it all year.

You've seen Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer, the one with Burl Ives as the singing snowman narrator w/ the plaid vest and bowler hat, Yukon Cornelius and the 'Bumble Snowman, the Misfit Toys... When that one did so well, the studio did more Christmas stories.

Did you see the "sequel" to this? 'Christmas Blessing' I think it was called... another tear jerker, but it was great!
