Tap Dancing/ Shuffling Female Chinchilla

Hey everyone! This is my first post here! I rescued two female chinchillas six months ago, Chynna and Bijou We do play time in my bathroom every morning for two hours, during this time Bijou my smaller female will hope onto my cats litter box. It has a cover on it so it allows her to get up higher and have a better view of my bathroom. While on top of the litter box however she’ll start shuffling and thumping her feet. It’s super cute but concerning so I had the vet checked her out and everything is fine! I’m just curious as to what could cause this behavior! Any answers would be greatly appreciated Thank you!

I found they do it when they react to a smell, mine used to tap around a can of beer!
