so ive decided to make the switch to fleece liners instead of shavings, ive orderd my liners, but i have a problem, i went to clean Eins cage today, i emptyed all the bedding and threw it out, only to find that i have no more :( and i wont be getting my liners for 5-6 days, and cant make it to my local farm store, where i usually get my shavings, and i was wondering if i could put a clean towel in the bottom of his cage untill i either get the liners or get to the store? he doesnt chew fleece, would he chew a towel?

In a pinch I've used shredded paper before, it doesn't last long though. I think a towel would be a bad idea because it has a different type of fibers than the fleece, just in case he chews it.

I wouldn't use a towel. Your chin may not chew fleece but may chew a towel, and I wouldn't chance it. Shredded paper, or even just newspaper, would be a better option in the meantime.

As many have said, plain white (no ink) shredded paper works just fine as does black and white newsprint...in a pinch ;)

i ordered my fleece from a local chinchilla breeder, i got them today, heres pictures
