Stuck wood? Weird noise

Nickel was chewing wood, and started to almost cluck. He has now continued to do it off and on for a few minutes but when he chews...

Think he got something stuck in a tooth? Would he sound this way if something was stuck elsewhere?

My thought would be he has something stuck...somewhere. Can you get his mouth open to look in there? Hopefully it's something that can be easily grabbed.

It could be stuck in a tooth or in his gums somewhere. He'll probably get it loose pretty soon, but if he continues to sort of gag/cluck or starts really pawing at his mouth or drooling just take him to the vet. The vet can then take a good look in his mouth and see if whatever it is can be taken out.

Poor little guy. Most of the time I see them act like this when they are drinking. It's like it goes down the wrong way and they start with the gagging like Nickel.

This happened to Morgan Freeman once. I was in another room and I just heard that noise coming from him. I was really worried. He stopped after a few seconds.
