Well we got around a foot of snow, which isnt too terrible, just a pain. However, Paul's great Aunts who live on the family farm needed to be checked in on. They are close to their 90's.

So we venture on out there, and the roads are clear but the lane to the farm was drifted.

Paul's Truck is rear wheel slide :D Are you getting where I am taking you? Before we hit the end of the story lets look at some pretty pics

So we travel on, and the truck slides and ends up right about where you see the dark spot on the first pic in the lane. We got to the crest of the hill and here...

Next time...park at the bottom of the hill and walk! It'll probably be faster, and less stressful! LOL!

Yikes! I better tell my kids to stop wishing for tons of snow, but glad you made it back home safe. :))

We got about 6 inches of snow in Mt Pocono. I'm greatful.

My Grammy would have asked, "Now what'd ya want to go and do a silly thing like that for?"

I know what it is like to have a Truck in the snow Not fun unless you like sledding,LOL I have ended up like that several times. Now I have a little snow plow(Nissan) it can get me through anything.

I would prefer a truck in the snow. If you weight it right in the back, and you have 4 wheel drive, you typically should be okay. I currently have a sunfire, and trust me, anything is better than this thing in the snow! The only thing it has going for it is the fact that it's a 5 speed, so if something happens, and I take my foot off the gas, break and clutch,it will die, and the wheels will stop turning...

You can weight down any vehicle for driving in the snow, just put sand bags in the trunk. Take them out when they're not needed because it cuts back on your MPG's. Slow down and go easy on the brake and gas pedal

Yea he knows that. Sadly, we did not expect the lane to look that way. All the roads were clear. The high wind drifted it shut :( I told him next time I am not going with, I will stay where it is warm, hahahah!

Good tip however, for anyone new to trucks. I certainly didnt know that when I was driving and he put his huge tool boxes in my trunk in the winter to help give my car a bit more stability too :D
