My chin is recovering from GI Stasis- from bad bacteria in the gut.
She's still on Critical Care and she is starting to eat her proper food. However, her poop has gone from very slimey to now just squishy?
She seems to be squishing it in her bed. But some are pretty hard.
What's happening? Is it because of her syringe food?

It sounds like she is getting better. Critical Care has probiotics which is probably helping her "good" gut bacteria repopulate.

Going from very slimy to merely squishy is a good thing. The slime is from intestinal irritation. Squishy is usually due to bad bacteria, especially if your chin is recovering from stasis. One of my girls had a very bad case of stasis twice. She recovered from both situations, but each time, it took weeks for her poop to completely return to normal. Longer the 2nd time around. You should see more examples of nice poop and less squishy poop as time goes by.

My girl still occasionally gets the odd squishy poop and because she has intestinal damage from all the ordeal she had to go through, I maintain her gut health with probiotics every few days and lots and lots of hay. I'm not sure how serious is your stasis but you might need to do the same, although probably with less frequency.

And lastly, no, the squishy poop isn't from the CC.

Glad to hear your chin is better :)

Ahh that's good. Yes, Bubbles is still on probiotics at the minute. I might ask my vet for some probiotic to give her every few days too. As I am aware that the probiotics is actually what made her start to get better in the first place. Thank god for them :D
Her poo is getting harder and more normal as time goes by :)
She is still eating her CC food, and not so much her normal food and wont touch her hay at all. I'm not sure why that is?

And thank you :D It's a hard thing for a chin to go through.
:D

You can get probiotics in health food stores, most grocery stores and places like Walmart or Walgreens. No need to get it from the vet where it will be more expensive. She is probably still in pain from her teeth and that is why she will not touch the hay. Hay needs grinding and usually chins with tooth problems ignore it or barely touch it. I agree with others on the squishy poop being a good thing!
