Okay, I have a very dominate female, she's really small also. I also have a little four month old kit. The kit was housed before with a few others and I think she's a little lonely. My dominate chin, Ellie, was housed with another chin before, but I came to the forum and learned that was a No-no :]. But She's also a little lonely. So, trying to put them together would just be a natural choice. I have read the FAQs on intros but I was wondering what would be the best choice on intro, Ellie being extremely dominate, and Samber being just a little one, I am a little worried about intros. (I would definitely wait a few days before I would try but I want to make sure how to do it right before I try this :])

Clip the whiskers on the more dominant chin, for starters. From there, I'd go with the cage-within-cage method and try that.

I also have a smaller female who is dominant, but I've got her successfully housed with 3 younger females now. It takes time and patience, but that will only happen if Ellie WANTS a cagemate. Just remember, she may not.

She might not want one, but I let out her old cagemate today and let him run around and she just sat a the front of the cage and watched him, and it was the saddest thing. He ran over and gave her a little kiss and kind of just sat by the cage. It was so sweet. But on topic, I don't really have a cage small enough to fit into the other cage. I don't have a show cage or anything, just normal cages. :\

Yea, I know that, I just want to try. Thinking maybe they'd like companionship, and if they don't *shrugs* Samber will eventually go into breeding and Ellie will go on living her pampered life :]

You may also keep in mind that not all kits grow up to be worth breeding. I keep a lot more to grow out then I breed. Many end up in pet homes when they don't meet breeding standards......

Okay :] Do you know any other ways to introduce them? I don't really have any cages like show cages.

I recomend buying a shoe cage you can get them from the ryersons very cheaply and they come in handy in emergencies

Okay, thanks, for all the help :] I'll have to talk to my mom about it, but she pretty much listens to what I say if I know what I'm talking about so I think I'll do just that :] Maybe it'll come in handy again!
