He hasn't been getting anything other than the Mazuri, oxbow hay and the occasional treat. I'm guessing he was so malnourished before that he just put it on. The vet said he's now where he should be for a chin his age and body size. I have to leave 2 bowls in the cage now because he gobbles up his own bowl at night. I might need to start monitoring his food. I can already tell by his first birthday he's going to outweigh Bryson who is at 680 now
my chins do NOT like when i try and touch their back and/or butt! last night i had Stitch out for playtime and was messing with him like that and the little stinker tried to spray me with urine. that is his new thing! and i do not like it.
My chins don't like it either. They do the same thing Ande does exactly. They put up with me for about 20 seconds and then they're gone.
You know, Bryson is big, too! WOW. The Mazuri and good hay has really done well by the little guys. (And, the exercise - I am sure that they have put on a fair amount of good muscle weight from all the runnin'.)
I love it when the rescues get beautiful. It's one of the only things that makes all the other rescue hardships worth it.
