soft poops caused by sudden change of diet?

He shouldn't be eating any peas or corn as it is quite bad for chinchillas as they shouldn't have any fruit or veggies at all.

Oops... Charlie, Charlie, what can I say.

This chin lived on peas and corns all his life, poor kid...

Then I hope it is truly acidophilus that does the trick, coz that's all he is getting today apart from his pellets and hay.

I would just continually be monitoring his poops and how much food/hay he is eating while supplementing the acidophilus. If he continues to eat the pellets and hay and his poops don't take a turn for the worse, then his weight should return as well. Hopefully this works. Please keep us informed on his condition

Just a quick update:

Poops are officially back to normal, AND his weight is back to 340g!

Yay! He is gaining weight! He is 350g now!
My friend is picking him up tonight.

He is on a healthy diet now. Wish him well~
