So Frustrated....

So, I have been waiting since the 6th for my order of chinchilla dust to arrive. (a week!) and today, I get the package, I was super excited, because they are out, and I know they need a dust bath.

Let me first say, i JUST got off work, and I have had a pretty crappy morning/night. I was So happy to get home & see the chinchillas enjoy a nice dusting....

I open the box & take out the bag & just absently rip the tape..and see.. NOT DUST, but a 5 lb. bag of Mazuri Pellets... My invoice says dust, I paid over $6 just for shipping, and I can't get ahold of anyone with the number they gave me..l it just keeps ringing busy... so I am off to thier site. I really hope I don't have to pay to ship this back & get the new stuff in...

UGH! unless they do some type of faster shipping, it's going to be another week, and I am going to have to buy something cheaper to get them through. I haven't had anything but the cheap dust you get a petstores (it came with them) and it's gone now... My chinchillas were all excited to see thier bath house & luna was rattling the cage.. poor girl will never forgive me now. Lol

I wouldn't pay anything to ship it back. It probably isn't worth it anyway. Even then though, it is their mistake.

I mistyped the shipping, it was $16.91... for UPS ground

I am so frustrated..and it doesnt' help that I had a horrid evening at work!

*** Ahh, so I just called, & was leaving a message, and when the lady answered, she apologized & assured me she would send out the dust today at no additional cost told me I am welcome to keep the mazuri...
She also told me a packer has been messing up, and she will see to it that it is corrected..

So, IF it is sent out today..i guess I need to figure something out! man, how frustrating, but at least they are correcting thier mistake at thier cost!

Maybe next time before getting so upset and complaining about it, you should wait for the persons response as to what happened. As far as I can see, there wasn't much point to getting worked up really, because they handled it expediently and with no charge to you. It's an inconvenience, sure, but people are only human. Sometimes mistakes get made.

I see you are in Athens. Maybe you should consider a trip to the Shoots ranch and just buy a 50 pound bag for $20.00. That will last you a long time with the number of chins you have.

Sorry Tunes, I wasn't so much complaining as just venting. I was so excited about finally getting dust & I was dissapointed. and i did give them credit for handling it well & being prompt after I got an answer...

Are you anywhere near the Shoots ranch? It really would be worth it to buy a bag. For a little more than what you paid in shipping, you could have 50 pounds of dust. You could even justify the gas if you buy two bags and just store them. As long as it doesn't get wet, dust will last forever.
