That's a flurry compared to what we got up here - 9 inches just yesterday + last night!!
On top of the 6 inches on the ground from last week!!
Now tonight, wind chills to -20!
Already tired of winter - where's that "Global Warming" they're talking about??
My dogs love it, though!

Yes, for the most part the dogs love the snow, don't they? But not my little Pug. You know, those wussy, tiny dogs. LOL But the Papillon romps through it right along with the Border Collie.

You're dog is very pretty. Beautiful markings and beautiful fur.

When it comes to snow, IMO Tennessee is kind of a wuss. Schools and roads are closed for what most consider a sprinkle of white. But there's no road maintenance here so we get stuck and it freezes to make black ice. We get especially stuck since our house is on a big hill.

I definately know what you are talking about. I grew up in Knoxville and our farm was on top of a large hill. We had to park at the bottom and walk to our house which was a good 2 miles up hill. It sucked, but man, I miss the snow now that I'm living in a desert. But, I can't complain. 70* is awesome in January! ;)

Our Westie hates the snow, which is bad considering right now there is 2 feet+ on the ground! We have to dig dog runs to get him to go to the bathroom... :hair:

Our big dog LOVES the snow. The minpin however...the snow is not his friend. In fact, if the snow it too deep or it's reeeeaally cold out (like now, with negative windchills!) if he is outside for more than a few minutes, his legs literally "freeze" up! They go completely stiff and he'll fall over! Kind of funny, but I feel so bad for the little man, especially now that he's older.

Beautiful doggie. :)

Sam, my blind Newfie, thinks snow was invented for him. Unfortunately, he forgets that others of us have to exist in the same yard as he does. So as we slog our way through the 4 foot drifts to get to the chin barn, Sam thinks it's play time, running and spinning, and slamming into the back of your legs.

At least snow is soft when your face hits it. <sigh>

:hilarious: Now stop pickin' on Sam...he just didn't "see" you standing there!

Such a cute dog!

Today I was leaving for Nursing lab and Koby, our Australian Shepard, ran out of the front door! And proceeded to frolic in the lot next door, in about 2 feet of snow (He really likes the deep snow). I was laughing but annoyed at the same time - I had to get going! And he would NOT come back inside!!! I tried treats and everything, but he just thought he was soooo funny. I told my mom the story later, and showed her the Koby-shaped holes he left behind in the lot next door.. What a goob....

My Husky/Border Collie mix is a Nut for the snow. He builds his own Igloo and ski ramps and makes a divit in the snow to sleep. Getting him inside is a challenge because its Hot in the house ya know. That is unless the big bad winds are blowing then "LET ME IN, Mommmmm its scary out here" shows up. He is also afraid of those little birds that love to annoy him. LOL he is a goof ball but at 11 yrs old ya gotta love him.

My dog absolutely hates snow. I have to shovel a path for him out the front door to his favorite bush so he'll go pee. Otherwise he won't go.

Gorgeous dog! My dogs love the snow as long as they can come back in after they play...lol.

We're having a snow-less year...well, a little here and there, but no *real* snow. I guess we were due for it after the 4+ feet we had in the yard this time last year, but everything has just been wet and gray this year. Not good for my dad...he works for a landscaping company and without the snow removal to keep them busy, they're hurting this winter.
