I have to say i did find it rather amusing to see everyone with chains on their tires trying to drive around...wouldnt be half as bad if there was more snow plows there.

Cut the grass? Wow! We've only got three-four months of that. Rest of the time we're shovelling, or plugging in our cars so they start in the morning.

I'd rather have the snow than -40/-50F or C. Being so cold you can feel it in your bones, where you can get frostbite within minutes if you have exposed skin to the wind. We've had a few weeks like that this year, breaking records for it being so cold.

Now it gets to melt, and we get to use lots and lots of windshield wiper fluid! Hooray *cough*cough*

As for the snow removal, they are real good at removing it from the busy streets, but I guess they have to be or no one would get anywhere. As for the residential streets, that big snow mound was just made a few days ago. They don't clear them until the end of the winter, unless it snows TOO much.

Wow, look at those mounds of snow! I'm learning to snowboard and can appreciate a day trip out to the snow but I really don't think I could ever live in a place that got that much snow!
That much snow? You can still see parts of the table and stuff. That snow has been on the ground for a while and melted off a bit. (You can tell because the snow has all fallen/melted off of the trees in those photos). You should see right after a snowfall! It's crazy!

But I'm in Toronto, so our snow has pretty much melted away already! :neener:

Nice pics! Here's pics for the HUGE ice storm we had last year...

We had an ice storm like that a few years ago here in NC. That was fun....lol. Actually, we were out of power for a while.

A lot of people here were out of power too for a few days. It was a mess, but it is pretty! LOL.

This time of year where I live is crazy. Last week it was 70, then yesterday it was 31. It's not unusual for it to stay 70's starting in March and then having a huge snow or ice storm in April lol. I do love how pretty those ice pictures look, its a shame ice is so dangerous at the same time. :)

Lucky for us it has been a few years since we have had a silver thaw like that. Pretty, but very dangerous. I could pretty much just do without winter, and just keep the other 3 seasons. Next year we are going to drive up to Alaska, take lots of pictures, and then I never want to see snow again!!! :)
