So I finally moved into the new house. The drive up was uneventful, however I had to get up at 4 AM and it took me 5 hours to dismantle all the cages and an additional 9 hours to drive to Montreal and then 3 MORE hours to assemble the cages again. Therefore I had my chins in the carriers all that time, that and the drive and the new environment has me concerned about stress on them.
I noticed that Toby has very small poos. He is eating, and I assume drinking (I have started to watch the water level in the bottle, and he is very active. I don't know if they drank water during the trip (I had the water pipes, but they were the Edstrom type nozzles (which they never used before). I was driving a lot so I could not see if they were drinking, and at stops I offered the regular bottle but the chins refused to drink. They all slept most of the way.
Question is, is this a normal reaction of stress, like I think it is?? I am just a tad concerned as he is otherwise normal. I did find three larger poos this afternoon which weren't there this morning, so I am thinking that this is normal. Just being an overprotective daddy, I suppose.
