I caught Bessie today for playtime and noticed that she has a small, pea-sized lump on her lower belly. It isn't her genitals or anything, it's under her fur. Needless to say, I am worried.

She is eating, drinking, peeing, and pooping all like normal. Running around like normal. Fussing and grumping at me like normal. She did lose about 65g after I first got her, I assume because of a food switch. It is not a cold switch, it is gradual. She has been gaining weight now that I have her on lifeline (1/4 teaspoon mixed with 1/8 teaspoon of dyne and 1/2 teaspoon of water three times per week).

Anyway... any thoughts? Thanks everyone.

I wonder if it is just a herniated belly button which my vet said is pretty much harmless to them. Is it about where a belly button would be?

Yeah, it's actually exactly where a belly button would be. I was talking about it to Megan in chat and she said how she has several larger females that have the same bump in the same area. We were actually speculating that it they might be belly buttons! :D

Yea, when I first got my chin I noticed she had a bump on her torso. I brought it up to the vet and told him I thought it was part of her normal anatomy because it was perfectly in the center or her belly and he was like "yea...that's her belly button", Now I rub it all the time and make fun of her hahaha!!
