small cut on lip

so just now gizmo was out for playtime. i was singing to him so he was all hyper and extra jumpy. i looked at him and noticed he had a small red line on his lip. so i held him and fought the struggling til we both got comfortable and i looked at it. i think he may have scratched himself or maybe it was caused by chewing on his cage wires? there are no loose wires and im thinking it happened during play time. regardless, he didnt seem to pay attention to it himself and when i touched it, he didnt seem uncomfortable. i just put him up and hes drinking water and eating hay like normal.

i'll keep checking on him, but what do you all do for cuts or scrapes?

its not bleeding, just a lil red.

I would just leave it be. Keep an eye on it but it should most likely heal just fine.

Just keep an eye on it. I have seen lip cuts, usually from a little squabble through the bars and normally they heal with no problems. I flush them with saline and keep an eye
