I've had my chin now for a little over a year, he's the love of my life. Recently he had an injury to his ear where he was bleeding from his ear, I was panicked, I called the vet but they were closed. His ear started to look better and he stopped bleeding. Ever since that happened I don't hear him running around his cage at night like he usually does. I let him out for play time and he seems really happy. He sits at the door and waits for me. He's still eating. Pellets and hay, he's drinking water, pooping and peeing normally (ill keep my eye on that) he just sits in his cage now. He has a huge cage at least 6ft tall and 4ft wide 4 ft deep. I haven't boughten any new toys recently for him, so maybe he wants new things, he might be bored? Why is my boy not as active and hyper and playful like he usually is?

I'm no expert, but I've done my research, and it almost sounds like a head injury. I had a hamster that fell on it's head while climbing the cage and he bled out of his ears and turned out he cracked his skull.
I would try to find another vet, or continue to try to get in with his normal vet.
I'd be really concerned, and I would probably try to keep him calm and kinda restricted until a vet can see him.

He now has diarrhea. He's got some new toys and he jumps around a lot but he still always sleeps unless I take him out. And I just checked his cage and he had some diarrhea in his hammock. Should I be concerned now?

The diarrhea is probably unrelated to his potential head/ear injury but is also a serious condition that you should have checked out by your vet. It could be giardia, which is quite common and easily treated, but needs attention right away. I would take him in as soon as possible so he can get tested and you can find out exactly what it is; also talk to your vet about the change in his behavior since his injury.

It sounds like you have a really tall cage. Do you have lots of shelves and perches so he can easily navigate the height without falling? Maybe consider putting something soft, like veterinary grade fleece lining at the bottom, or even a hammock in case he does fall? Just an idea... hope he gets better!

Chin should have already BEEN to a vet, I mean seriously bleeding from the ear did not prompt a emergency vet visit???????
