With it being fall now, it means the temperatures are dropping. I can finally sleep with my windows open at night since it gets to 54-62* at night now. Woo hoo! This is my first fall with Ande, and let me tell you, last night was sleepless for me.

With the cooler temperatures, it means the coyotes are very vocal at night now. This was Ande's first time hearing this (Bryson is used to this noise) and he barked all night, non-stop. Poor guy. Hopefully he gets used to it quickly. They are loud because my room is right next to the wash and they sometimes howl right next to my fence. I spent most of the night petting him and telling him it was ok, and fighting to keep Bryson inside the cage. :tired: I'm tired. We'll see how tonight goes. It's supposed to be 56 tonight. :)

Any tips to comfort him are more than welcome!

Sorry no adivce for you here. It's nice that we're finaly getting a break from the heat also here in Vegas, not opening the windows up quite yet though.
Poor chinny baby and mommy stayin' up. Maybe he was just singing with them. :) How about earmuffs? just kidding. Like Spoof said the radio, or tv also might distract him.

I've had to use earplugs before. Coyotes are really loud and obnoxious. They just yelp and bellow...I hate them really.

Seriously, Brittney, being that close to the wash get some earplugs because they are going to be barking all fall and all winter. Bryson will probably stop his barking in a day or two once he's used to everything, but the noises outside will keep you up.

Wow!!!!!!!!!!!
I never heard coyotes in my life!
I am from Tokyo, Japan, and until I came to the states, I hadn't really seen wild animals!
It's so cool! I am thinking of going to a National Park in WV over the Colombus Day Weekend, since one of them has a coyote park or something that you can see some coyotes. You are lucky, in my view!!
