Thumper is quite adorable! I would love to have him! He must be quite the fun pet to have. His tiny little harness is adorable as well - do you take him for walks? And he does have quite the nails - I bet he could do some damage with them. You need a sitter, give me a call!

From your description of his personality, he kind of sounds like a hound or a scotty/west highland terrier-- you have to really convince them that the human should be in charge before they'll come to listen to you, but once you do, they're precious as gold. Thanks for posting. He's just wonderful.

awww that's really cool that you have Thumper! I didn't know there were domesticated skunks being kept as pets. I want a skunk too!!

trust me you would be bringing him back. he is one rotten skunk and full of attitude lol.

Not that long ago I was watching our local educational channel and they did a whole hour on skunks. It was actually VERY interesting.

They did interview a skunk rescuer that had dozen and dozens of skunks that their original owners did not want anymore for a whole bunch of reasons. They can be VERY mischievous from what I gather LOL They are NOT for everyone and you have to be very patient and unique to own one which it sounds like you are.

very pretty - i am in the UK and skunks as pets are only just taking off over here, i went bad put my deposit down for mine yesterday just got to wait a few months now for them to be born and weaned <G>

nope, they actually have no smell at all and there is no need to bath them unless absolutely needed.

honestly Im not sure I have never had allergy problems, I have heard tho that they dont cause much problems with allergies.

not really, he is littler trained so not much there and his food which is a mix of veggies, fruits and a bit of protien.

thank you, he does like to walk on a leash altho he walks me more lol. he does have crazy nails but Thumper has never done any damage but im sure he could if he wanted to lol.
