I had to drive three hours from home for work. I drove a girl up here with me. So I got kicked out of the store were inventorying. So I have to sit her for another 4 hours until she's done. I've already wasted 3 of the 7 hours. Thank Buddha for my iPhone. But I'm dying to chat. So please, someone, chat with me!!!

Normally we count housewares where you scan the utm then key in how many there are. Well this khols decided we had to scan every daggone piece. So I scanned one pot four times for the other three that were just like it. They got mad and kicked me out. I was gonna get to stay but a guy flipped off the manager and raised **** so I had to go.

And now they're going to keep the girl late so I can't make it to my next job. How nice. I'm so screwed. I can see me losing my job for sure. 

I would lose my job for sure if I left her here. And have the cost of the three hour taxi ride deducted. I'm already not making money. I don't need to make it negative!

No. I have/had two stores to inventory today.

Do you work for RGIS or similar company? And why does the employee who flipped of the manager get to stay and you have to leave for making a honest mistake? Seems a little messed up.

Sorry. I fell asleep. Getting my car toasty and then turning it off and getting cold made me pass out!

I do work for RGIS. The dude did get kicked out, but for batching. Not flipping

Why does it matter how you scan the items if they are all the same item?

That's my point, ****oo. But the manager was being a jerk and he cared. I'm home now. I should have gotten 22-26 hours of work today, and I only got 7.5, how depressing!

Actually, it's Kohl's policy (and I'm pretty sure policy at a lot of other retail stores, too.). Everything gets scanned. If a customer brings up 50 cups that are all exactly the same, the cashier has to scan every single one of them. If you are an employee doing price changes, you have to scan every single item, not just one. A lot of the time, an item may look the same but have a slightly different pattern or color, which means a different upc. It prevents inaccuracies in inventory.
